18-week course plan studying St. Thomas Aquinas and Church history from the collapse of the Carolingian empire to the Treaty of Westphalia (ninth to seventeenth century). Books for this semester: Louis de Wohl's The Quiet Light: A Novel About Thomas Aquinas, The One-Minute Aquinas by Kevin Vost, and The Didache Series' The History of the Church (Chs. 8-14).
       The feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, priest and doctor of the Church, patron of all universities and of students, is January 28.
